An important service offered by BVNW PBC is Spending Night. As a non-profit organization, all monies raised are used to support BVNW students and staff.
Every club can submit a requisition for funds to purchase items and/or services to support their organization. Past spending nights have approved expenditures for recycling bins for Kay Club, a speaker series for Debate, Drill Writer/Choreographer for Band, magazine publication costs for Muse and Yearbook, Pole Vault poles for Track, conference materials for DECA and MP3 players and video flip cameras for the technology department.
Spending Nights are held three times a year to grant funds to activities and athletic groups by request. Spending nights for 2009/2010 were held in November, February, and April and over $35K has been awarded. Over $32K was awarded during the 2008/2009 school year.
